Officially Established as 'Highway Auto Engineer'Provided various services such as Periodic Maintenance, Vehicle Repairs(Engine Overhaul, Auto Gear Box repair), Estimation Taeched Automobile as a Subject for Rural School Children. Trained female Technicians.

Founder of Highway Auto Engineer
I commenced my carrier from a local garage at the age of 15, as a motor mechanic trainee. Then later joined German Technical Training Institute as an Automobile apprentice in search of professional education. For 4 years, I followed a full-time course including AMIE Part -2. After successfully completing my education, I joined Ceylon Transport Board as skilled-grade technician and then as a Mechanical engineering inspector. Further I employed in several local workshops as a Work shop in-charge.In hope of learning about reputed vehicles targeting other than Sri Lanka, I joined Ministry of Oil Baghdad, as a Heavy vehicle technician where I got the possibility to gain special training for MAN, Volvo, Fiat & Mercedes heavy trucks. Then I joined Oman Kings Royal Guard (Arm Force) with an opportunity of receiving a Special Training for Land Rover, Jaguar, Ford, BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Armed vehicle etc. and on Desert Test Driver and Road Test Driver. After my time at Royal Army, I paved my way to join Toyota Motor co-op Training Centre, Jeddah and later Al Khobar Dammam. After 16 years of my career in abroad, once again I started my career as an Automobile lecturer, instructor and a teacher. I trained multi nmechanics girls & boys (Mech / Elect / Electronic) in collaboration with NAITA. I opened my own EME workshop in 1996 and named it as Highway Auto Engineer in hope of targeting the future of mechanical technology and our country. It 2019s been 23 years and its well-established company holding the name for its qualified work criteria. Now Im 64 and a humbly proud successful entrepreneur hoping to retire and pass it down to my second generation who is well knowledgeable to provide you a better service.

Service Engineer
At present, working as a service engineer for Highway Auto Engineer, I've successfully completed my education as a BSc (Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering at the university of Wolverhampton UK while gaining experience for my future career. I've worked as a multi skilled technician for 5 years and then as a service advisor for 3 years and a service engineer for 2 years and continuing. Meantime, I work as a lecturer for automotive engineering. With research and developing hybrid batteries, I specialize in hybrid and electric vehicle. This gave me the opportunity to introduce calculations for the tuning systems to adapt into Sri Lankan environments for a long-time usability.
